![]() So, for max performance (max altitude at such a low speed), go vertical all the way. Don't forget that it only asks for altitude and speed, its not bothered if you do a gravity turn. In fact, without going through previous notes and looking closely, that combination of altitude and speed might be on the edge/not possible to achieve with an RT-10 alone - you may need to make a 2 stage rocket, with the RT10 as the second stage, to fulfil it. Then once the speed and altitude requirements are met, press SPACE to activate it via staging. That combination of speed and altitude is best achieved by having the SRB burn from the launch (by right-clicking then "activate" engine), then it will cut off at xxxxx altitude but the rocket will continue to gain altitude, losing speed as it does so. When I did the NCD challenge I developed a handy little "ready reckoner" of speed vs altitude vs TWR. You can "activate" an engine by using the right-click menu, then "stage" it some time later while its been running, using the staging (space bar). But if you can manage it during your attempt at the test - maybe we can spot something small that's going wrong. Getting a picture of your screen is a PITA for consoles, I know perfectly well. Getting all the green checkmarks and then clicking "Run Test" should definitely complete the contract - provided that your craft actually has a Hammer engine on it (and not some other engine). So, unfortunately, all I can tell you initially is that it sounds like you are doing everything right. They always tell you when you can complete the contract. However, watching the green checkmarks is exactly the right thing to do. In general, the tricky thing about that particular contract is that the "speed" criteria is always measured in Surface mode, and your navball usually automatically changes to Orbital mode (with a different speed value) at that altitude. I accepted the contracts before the 1.4.2 patch.Clicking the "Run Test" button in the part options should always work for an engine, if all the conditions in the contract have green check marks. We do appreciate that this is not always easy to do, and the problem does not become obvious until after it has happened. Please do continue to report with saves (from before, and after it happens) and most importantly, a log from the session where it is seen. Some measures have already been implemented to prevent or detect this in 1.4.2, so I shall mark this as ready to test. We have not been able to replicate this problem in testing, and the steps taken have been elusive. Then check for mission conditions being met. Simply update the ship pictures and roster after any docking, or after returning from any warp back into a physics mode. The fix to all of these problems may be one in the same. When the pictures down show, you can't do a transfer from one pod to another, thus the same problem may exist with recognizing achievements too. I believe this to be related to the bug where if two vessels dock, the pictures don't update with occupants of all the vessels until you either go to the tracking station and come back, reload from a quick save, or perform an EVA with one and board again. I have attached my game file as requested.Ĭould you please say whether the contracts were accepted before the 1.4.2 patch, or after? ![]() ![]() I have attached screenshots of the mission screens in question and the crew list in the build screen showing leveling up as a result of completion. The first three completed, but two of them (Jofal and Foory) had the same issue as Siner, and sixth Kerbal (Tomrie) show’s his mission parameters being met but not his itinerary, even though he has been taken off of the available list seemingly completed. This problem also occurred with a mission to ferry six tourists. However, the mission parameters do not register as being met. I have done this, and she has even leveled up as a result. ![]() The first, for Siner Kerman requires completion of a suborbital and orbital flight around Kerbin. I am attempting to complete two separate ferry VIP/tourist missions, but the missions are not registering as completed even though conditions seem to have been met. Same issue happening in my game with two ferry contracts.
